The Journal of the Australian Youth Aerospace Association is a peer-reviewed publication dedicated to showcasing original research, technical developments, and thought leadership by students and early-career professionals in aerospace, aviation, and space.

Published by the Australian Youth Aerospace Association (AYAA), the journal is a platform for emerging voices to contribute meaningfully to Australia’s aerospace conversation.

Founded in 2025, the journal was established to bridge the gap between academic study and industry innovation — empowering the next generation of aerospace professionals to engage with complex challenges, share novel insights, and elevate the standard of youth-led research across the country.

The journal accepts submissions across a broad range of fields, including (but not limited to):

  • Aerodynamics and propulsion

  • Avionics and control systems

  • Aerospace engineering education and outreach

  • Space systems, satellites, and mission design

  • Aerospace policy, regulation, and sustainability

  • Hypersonics, rocketry, and high-power experimental systems

Each edition is reviewed by a panel of academics, industry experts, and technical advisors to ensure rigorous standards while nurturing emerging talent.

Whether you're an undergraduate researcher, a postgraduate innovator, or a student team solving real-world problems, the Journal of the AYAA offers a professional and nationally recognised platform to publish your work.

Through this initiative, the AYAA continues its mission to develop, connect, and inspire young Australians in aerospace — one idea, innovation, and publication at a time.

Driven by students. Reviewed by experts. Committed to the future of aerospace.
