AYAA Child Safety Statement

At the Australian Youth Aerospace Association (AYAA), the safety, wellbeing, and happiness of all children and young people is our highest priority.

We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for everyone participating in our programs, events, and activities. We support and respect all children, their families, and our staff, and take our responsibility to protect them seriously. This applies to applies to all AYAA programs, events, and activities, including those delivered in partnership with other organisations or educational institutions.

All AYAA staff, volunteers, and contractors are required to follow strict child safety practices, including:

• Treating all children with respect and dignity

• Following clear codes of conduct and legal obligations

• Completing dedicated training to ensure competency and understanding

• Reporting any concerns about safety, harm, or abuse immediately

We encourage children, young people, and their families to speak up if they have concerns. Together, we aim to make every AYAA experience safe, empowering, and enjoyable.
