The Young Australian Space Leader (YASL) Award is a scholarship for the Youth of Australia to attend the International Astronautical Congress. Every year, we send students to the IAC, wherever it might be in the world; from South Africa to Mexico to Adelaide.

The 2024 IAC will be in Milan, Italy in October 2024. And we are proud to announce that we have the opportunity to send multiple Young Australian Space Leaders to Europe. The selected YASL recipients will represent young Australia to the greater global Space Industry through an expenses paid scholarship. The YASL Scholarship includes travel, accommodation, and attendance fees.

Nominees must be one or more of the following:

  • Participants in the ASTRA program in 2023 and/or 2024. 
  • Participants in the AURC in 2023 and/or 2024. 
  • Have held/hold a volunteer position in the AYAA, its state committees or subcommittees in 2023 and/or 2024. 

Successful applicants will be contacted after which they will be announced in due course.
