WA Representative - Tristan Ward

Tristan Ward has recently finished his Bachelor of Science, majoring in Physics and Nanotechnology, in 2018.

This study program was undertaken at Murdoch University in Perth, where he was appointed the Physics Student Ambassador to promote and teach Physics. Tristan’s interest in aerospace technologies led him to attend the Aerospace Futures conference in 2016. This event inspired Tristan to form the AYAA’s first representation in WA.

To form this committee, he drew talent from the four major Perth universities (UWA, Curtin, Murdoch and Edith Cowan) and was appointed the AYAA State Representative for WA. Tristan is a proven leader, having been the head organiser of multiple events, run engaging workshops for groups of up to thirty students and been a panellist for an audience of over three hundred people. He has recently undergone an internship with Pawsey Supercomputing Centre where he has gained valuable experience in object oriented programming and supercomputer simulations. Tristan is passionate about aerospace because of its overwhelming achievements and innovations, as well as its success in delivering these technologies to a significant global customer base.
