Media Coordinator - Andrew Uscincki

Andrew is a passionate 3rd Year Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering student at the University of Queensland (UQ).
Andrew’s involvement with the AYAA began after he attended the Aerospace Futures conference in 2016. Since then he has attended all of the AYAA’s events, and in 2017 he became the photographer for AYAA’s Queensland committee. In addition, he took upon the role of Brisbane Leader at the 2017 Australian Youth Aerospace Forum. Here he assisted with the Forum’s activities and mentored four high school students throughout the week.
Andrew actively seeks all opportunity to apply and extend his knowledge of engineering concepts. He is currently one of eight students in a UQ based team participating in the American Spaceport Cup in 2019. He and his team aim to build UQ's first liquid-propellant rocket and achieve an altitude of 30,000ft.
Andrew is very enthusiastic about all aspects of space. Upon completion of his degree, he aims to work within the mission planning and rocket propulsion disciplines. He is excited to be joining the AYAA National Committee in 2018 as the Media Manager and looks forward to a successful year.
