AYAF Chair - Makenzie Moor
Makenzie is in her fourth year of a Bachelor of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Queensland (UQ).
Makenzie has been actively involved with the AYAA since 2016. Her interests within the industry were kick started after attending the Aerospace Futures conference in Sydney. Since then, she has enjoyed working upon a number of AYAA’s other events including the Rocket Project and the Australian Youth Aerospace Forum. Additionally, in 2017, she attended the Astronaut Stories and the International Astronautical Congress (IAC).
Her strong interests within the aviation industry are what make Makenzie strongly believe that Australia’s aerospace industry has great capacity to grow and thrive. She is passionate about communicating this to the next generation of young aerospace and aviation enthusiasts.
Makenzie recently completed an internship at a company that designs in-flight entertainment systems. She has developed an interest in unmanned aircraft (UAV), and upon completion of her degree she hopes to work within a company that uses UAV’s for research, agricultural or humanitarian purposes.
